HuntersPro EKG Learning Lab
Practice on a monitor before exam day
Reading about a rhythm and recognizing it on a moving strip are different skills. The Learning Lab trains the second one. It runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and saves your progress to your HuntersPro account.
Learn
Explore 49 rhythms on a live Lead II strip with P, QRS and T labels and calipers. The 12-lead lab has 11 real, de-identified recordings.
Practice
Guided cases take you from rhythm to evidence, rate, interval and the safe action. Skills labs cover electrode placement, wire colors, artifact, pacemakers and troubleshooting.
Test
Build 5-, 10- or 20-strip challenges, and work through 12 patient scenarios that mix signal problems with real emergencies.
Progress
Mastery tracks your accuracy by rhythm category and schedules short drills for the rhythm pairs you mix up.
The EKG Learning Lab is an educational simulator, not a medical device.

How to study
The five-step cycle the book is built around
Take the diagnostic pretest
Your result finds your weak areas and sets up a personalized study plan.
Study one section at a time
Read the lesson, study every figure, and connect each procedure to its safety purpose.
Recall before you review
Explain the concept in your own words and reproduce lead positions from memory.
Answer all 10 section questions
Work without the text, then read every rationale, including the ones you got right.
Return to weak areas
Note why you missed each question and revisit it a few days later instead of cramming.
Pacing the five practice tests. Finish all three domains before Practice Test 1. Space out Tests 2 to 4 online, and keep Test 5 for a timed, closed-book readiness check.
An 80% practice score is a useful study target. It doesn't predict your official result, because NHA reports a scaled score.
This book was designed with one goal in mind: to help you pass the NHA CET exam with confidence and become a competent, safety-conscious EKG technician from day one on the job.

FAQ
Questions before you buy
Is this an official NHA study guide?
No. HuntersPro is an independent publisher and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the National Healthcareer Association. The guide is built around the published CET exam domains. Confirm current exam policies with NHA before your test date.
How do I get into the online companion?
Scan the QR code inside the book, create your student profile on HuntersPro Academy, and redeem the access code printed in the book. That unlocks the diagnostic pretest, your study plan, Practice Tests 2 to 5, video lessons, flashcards, quizzes and the EKG Learning Lab.
What's new in the 2nd edition?
The 2nd edition is updated for 2027–2028. It has five full-length practice tests (the 1st edition had three), 10 application questions with rationales at the end of each of its 48 sections, and access to the HuntersPro EKG Learning Lab.
Does it cover 12-lead placement and stress testing?
Yes. Chapter 3 covers standard 12-lead placement, placement for ambulatory monitoring, telemetry and stress testing, Holter and event monitors, artifact correction, and the technician's duties before and during a stress test.
Will my practice-test score predict my exam result?
Not directly. NHA reports a scaled score, so a raw practice percentage doesn't convert to an official result. The book suggests 80% on the practice tests as a useful study target.
Can I use the EKG simulator on my phone?
Yes. The EKG Learning Lab runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, and your progress saves to your HuntersPro account, so you can switch devices.
Ready to pass your CET exam?
